On October 25, 2010, the People's Court of Binhu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province and the School of Law and Politics of Jiangnan University formally signed a cooperation agreement on teaching and research after friendly negotiation. The Party Secretary, Dean of the Academy and the Dean of the School of Law and Politics signed the cooperation agreement. This is an effective exploration of the university's sharing of resources with universities and complementary advantages to achieve cooperation and win-win.
This joint construction will start from the perspective of improving the theories of the court's police officers and the quality of school teaching practice, to fully exert the practical resources of the court's judicial trial and the legal education resources of the School of Law and Politics. According to the agreement, the two parties will adhere to the principle of “Resource Sharing, Mutual Promotion, Long-Term Cooperation and Common Improvement”. The School of Law and Politics will combine the actual practice of the trial of the hospital, regularly arrange students to go to the court to listen to trials, and conduct social practice, thereby improving their practical ability; schools can also hire outstanding judges of the college to serve as part-time counsellors, to make special reports for students; meanwhile, they will rely on the teaching and research strengths and resources of colleges and universities to invite university law experts to conduct guidance on business training and paper writing for judges, organize seminars on difficult cases and related academic issues, improve the legal theory of judges, and lay a solid foundation for the creation of a learning court.
