We have been recruiting students nationwide since 1996. Our goal is cultivating applied law professionals. Until now, we have accumulated rich experience in the construction of specialty programs, and built four teaching and research sections, including civil and commercial law, jurisprudence and constitutional administrative law, criminal law, economic law, international law and comparative law, and a comprehensive laboratory of moot court. Besides, we have a number of research institutions including Jiangsu Intellectual Property Training Base and Wuxi Administrative Law Research Center.

Currently, we have 27 full-time teachers, including 19 professors, associate professors and other senior titles, 14 doctoral candidates, outstanding young and middle-aged academic leaders of the “Qing Lan Project” in Jiangsu Province, and outstanding young backbone teachers of the “Qing Lan Project” in Jiangsu Province. Among them, many have been awarded Model Teachers in Jiangnan University, "My Favorite Teachers" and Rong Zhiquan Scholarship. In addition, we have 15 off-campus part-time tutors. We have focused on teaching reform and scientific research. In the past three years, we have undertaken one national social science fund project, six provincial and ministerial humanities and social science fund projects, more than 20 provincial projects, and published more than 30 papers in CSSCI journals and around 10 textbooks.

We have abided by the philosophy of “Self-discipline and social commitment, striving for perfection, and stressing moral and law” and integrated theory with practical during talent training by establishing partnership with six courts, six procuratorates, 15 law firms in Wuxi and 12 grassroots communities to build teaching practice bases and social practice bases, and introduce real court trials, real case handling, and real social management into teaching, which are well received by students. Besides, we have set up several social scholarships including Hongyun Scholarship, Law Scholarship, Wuxi Lawyers Association Scholarship, and Zhonghe Scholarship. We have hosted rich and colourful campus cultural activities, including “College Student Law Forum”, “Law Reading Month” and “Legal Paper Competition” to improve professional quality of students. In the past three years, wehave boasted 25% law students admitted to graduate study and 45% national judicial examination passing rate.
